> Define the rules that govern the bandwidth assigned to flows;
> Assign the appropriate rules to individual users and NetBIOS groups;
> Specify the criteria which determine which flows are governed by a particular rule;
> Monitor the current network traffic - including the size of flows, comparing the actual rates to those allocated, the related Layer 7 applications and the source and destination addresses;
> Associate processes with each of the rules giving finer control over the flows passing through the system;
> Review statistics for flows at earlier times;
> Receive alert notifications if the flows controlled by a rule exceed a specified rate.
