SUMMARY
The SonicWALL® Continuous Data Protection (CDP) 210 is designed for small distributed environments and remote or branch offices requiring automatic, transparent disk-based backup and flexible disaster recovery for multiple workstations and servers. The CDP 210 features usable capacity of up to 1.7 TB (at standard 2:1 compression ratios), user-directed restore, low-touch administration and powerful administrative policy to streamline backup operations and provide a more intelligent and systematic data protection strategy.
CDP 210 features.
The CDP 210 appliance delivers up to 1.7 TB4 (at a typical 2:1 compression ratio) of usable storage that can scale to support most small or remote office environments. With superior ease of use, manageability, and streamlined operation, backup processes are performed continuously with very little administration needed.
Large Capacity - With a usable capacity of up to 1.7 TB (at standard 2:1 compression ratios), the CDP 210 is ideal for small distributed environments and remote or branch offices.
Unprecedented scalability - The CDP 210 flexibly accommodates CDP environments ranging from a single PC to large mixed-platform Windows®, Apple® or Linux® server farms. It also supports most popular business and client applications, including Microsoft® SQL, Exchange and SharePoint servers, System State, Active Directory and Outlook.
Enforced backup - Administrative-level policy-enforced control is applied to ensure user data residing on laptops and desktops is backed up continuously or on a schedule. Unlike many other traditional backup products, no user intervention or manual backup tasks are required.
Quick and simple deployment - With all-in-one integrated software, hardware and storage, CDP goes from box to backup in less than 30 minutes, increasing IT productivity and return on investment (ROI).
Platform features.
Re-architected from the ground up, CDP delivers data preservation, recovery responsiveness, data governance and disaster recovery (DR) readiness to help comply with even the most stringent recovery objectives.
Advanced fileset backup methodology - Combined with data de-duplication and advanced granular versioning and trimming features, CDP 6.0 efficiently captures, catalogues and preserves each backup in chronological versions while excluding duplicate data. This eliminates the inefficiencies experienced by the traditional method of excessively backing up and storing recurring incremental and daily full backup files that overtax secondary storage and result in data loss when historical backup points are rebuilt.
Discovery and recovery of email data - SonicWALL Recovery Manager for Exchange enables administrators to granularly search, compare and restore individual, criteria-specific items—including single messages, multiple mailboxes and public folders hierarchies in Microsoft Exchange® and Lotus Domino®.
Self-directed file restore - Users can restore their own lost or deleted files instantly without compromising privacy or security, thereby reducing IT overhead and maximising user satisfaction and productivity.
Windows, Mac OS and Linux support - The CDP 6.0 agent software supports mixed-platform environments, including the latest Windows®, Mac OS® and Linux® operating systems.
Broad Microsoft application support - CDP 6.0 supports the most popular Microsoft® business and client applications including SQL®, Exchange and SharePoint® servers, Active Directory® and Outlook®.
All-in-one backup and disaster recovery solution - The CDP 6.0 appliance is delivered with integrated software, hardware and storage to give users an unsurpassed experience with quick and simple deployment out of the box in less than 30 minutes, thus increasing IT productivity and providing a fast return on investment.
